A very common issue with laptops is the port where you plug the power into, commonly referred to as the "DC Jack". This is due to the power cord extending from the laptop, creating what we call a snag point, that is where anyone could accidentally trip on the power cord and cause trauma to the internal connection. This repair requires the complete disassembly of the laptop at which point technicians can perform the required steps to remove the damaged DC Jack and solder in the replacement. Unfortunately there are so many different DC Jack styles available Nextier typically must order the part unique to your make and model.

So what does this mean?
The laptop must be dismantled and technicians use soldering equipment to replace the damaged internal component known as the "DC Jack"
